Follow Holly and Logan, on an exploration of their beautiful seaside home. The alphabet book is filled with colorful illustrations that contain hidden letters for the reader to find. Readers are also encouraged to look and find hidden objects or creatures that relate to each letter. There is an illustrated index at the back of the book.
The story follows the adventures of the two children, as they try and retrieve a pink conch shell from a mischievous mermaid. Holly and Logan chase after her, scuba diving and kayaking along the shore. They finally come upon an undersea party, and see the mermaid giving the shell to a shell-less hermit crab. This act of kindness inspires Holly to share her shell collection with the other sea creatures.
